Eastern Mass Pups Hope To Luck Out On St. Patrick's Day With Reduced Adoption Fees

Some St. Patrick's Day celebrants acknowledge the day by wearing green, some by enjoying Guinness and corned beef, and still others may celebrate by finding a new canine life companion through a St. Patrick's Day adoption event.

To help dogs who have specific needs, MSPCA-Angell and Northeast Animal Shelter are reducing adoption fees for certain dogs to $100, which will save adopters hundreds of dollars on initial adoption costs.

The pups seeking the luck of the Irish through the special promotion will be marked with a star on their adoption profile pages.

One of the St. Patty's special dogs is Texas, a six-month-old German shepherd mix who was transported from South Carolina to Menthuen last year. Most of the other animals who were transported with Texas have already been adopted, but Texas is still waiting for his perfect match.

Texas is "typical puppy," smart, curious, and bounding with energy. He has started his training at the shelter, and his ideal family would keep that training up so he could live up to his full potential.

The St. Patrick's Day event will end on March 31. Interested adopters may learn more here
